So my fellow employees and I have been forced to resort to filing grievances against all of management’s wrongdoings. We tried to talk it out with them but since they kept blowing us off we have no other choice.
I gave Nave all my grievances to fax to the union today, we shall see where this goes.

The supervisor came up to me with my leave slip disapproved and told me that they have the right to disapprove leave even if there is a vacancy on the calendar. It is solely up to their discretion. She then began to tell me that I was disapproved due to the fact that I am a crucial key to the operation and since we are short handed they couldn't afford to let me go.
Last week the OIC told us that we have enough people and we need to step it up. This seems so contradicting to me.

Well now that every one of the clerks are talking again and not talking to Barney and it is majorly pissing him off. For example the other day Nave, Seven and I were working the Hot case, moving the mail well about the standard set by the Postmaster-OIC, when Barney (Supervisor)yells out our names several times on the workroom floor and tells us in a very loud manner ‘I don’t care if you talk just stop facing each other and get this mail put up”. Afterwards the carriers started making comments like ohh your in trouble and shhh stop talking. All Barney is doing is creating a hostile work environment.
He also has been telling some of the carrier’s lies about us like that I am on the shit list for hiding in the mechanics’ room. The truth is when I was on break, he ran and told the OIC I was hiding and the OIC confronted me about it. I told his I was on break. I always take my breaks at that time of the morning and sometimes sit in the mechanics room. Never had a problem before. The OIC told me I need to get the Hot case mail up and to get to it, that I was responsible for the 6 hours of carrier overtime the previous day since I couldn’t get the mail sorted fast enough for him.
Another carrier Fiz told me Barney told her to stay away from the morning crew because we are a bunch of two-faced liars. We are only trouble and she needs to stay away from us.
The truth is he has made numerous sexual comments about her to me, and he is probably just jealous that she is friendly with us.

This is whats been going on lately:
Last week the Postmaster-OIC had a meeting with the morning crew: Me, Nave, Seven, and Player. He told us that if we are to work for minimum effort then maybe we should work somewhere else for minimum wage.
We were also informed that we aren’t going to get any more help ( hire more people) because the work hours and the mail volume don’t add up. In a nutshell we are a bunch of deadbeats that need to step it up.
He stated:
The CSBCS machines need to process the Box section mail by 5:00 am and the remaining routes need to be started by 5:00 am and finished by 8:00 am. No one is available to get the mail ready for the machines before 4:30 so I don’t see that happening.
The first class box mail needs to be put in the PO boxes by 9:00 am and the Hot case (which is where the raw mail is sorted to the carriers) needs to be done at the same time. No dragging it all out till its time to go to lunch the OIC states. No one is available to put up box mail until 6-6:30 am and it is usually just one person, they volume of box mail usually requires more than one person to get it done. The Hot case is another joke because the person that distributes all the city mail to the carrier has to start working it whenever they get done distributing th mail first. Sometimes that’s after 8:00 am.

To give you a little background, before this little talk happened I was taken into the OIC’s office and told my work performance was not up to par. I tried to explain why the numbers on the machines were the way they were, but he wasn’t having it. I tend to not shut the clock off on the machine in between runs which looks like a lower operator throughput, if I knew they looked at this number maybe I would have played the clock differently. I told him I am one of the best clerks in the office and he said “ I thought you were a better machine clerk, I thought you were a better distribution clerk, I thought you were a better box clerk, I thought you were a better window clerk but I guess I was wrong.” Well he is wrong, and also I am not a window clerk at all, he doesn’t even know what my job functions are.
After this little meeting I talked to all the clerks I wasn’t talking to since I was under the assumption they were all stabbing me in the back, only to find that Barney (Supervisor)had lied to me and was playing everyone. Pitting them against each other. He did state to me once that Nave works better when he is mad,he talked about everyone to me and talked to everyone else about me. Backstabbing at its best.

This place is ridiculous. I work at the most ludicrous, jackass backwards office in the entire universe.
It would take an eternity to tell you what has happened since I’ve started working there but let me tell you it was just more of the same that I have written below.
For the past week I have been working outside my bid job that I hold to try to help my office out. I know that I should work my bid job but it really doesn’t require much training and the jobs I have been covering require a bit of training (I already have done every job in my office so I can cover any job). They put part timers in my place while I help out.
Believe me I would rather work my bid since it is an easier job and is a higher job level (typical though more pay less work) but I am willing to do what it takes for my office. Well the deadbeat fellow employees I am helping are complaining that I should be doing my own job and are slowing down to try and get back at management for bringing me down to help them.
I just found out they have been stabbing me in the back and talking crap about me at every turn. Personally I believe it is because I work at a higher level of efficiency then they do and they are pissed that I am making them look bad.
Every single one of these losers I have trained in the past and gave them passing scores to get them job positions they were bidding on to help them out. Now I find out what type of users they are. They smile and act nice to you then, kick you in the ass when your not looking, self serving f**kers.
I have given them all a helping hand up when they needed it and even now this last week I thought I was helping, but no that isn’t the case with them. They are all just a miserable lot and deserve to be s**t-canned.
